My heart is to encourage your heart.
For years, I’ve had the privilege of sitting with people in some of the most meaningful moments of their lives—helping them understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, navigate difficult seasons, and grow closer to God.
My work has grown out of a simple conviction: people were created to flourish. I believe meaningful growth happens when we begin to understand who we are, experience healthy relationships, and allow God to meet us in the real places of our lives—not just the polished ones.
A Little About My Journey
I’m a pastoral counselor, teacher, and writer with a passion for helping people make sense of their stories. My own journey has taught me that growth rarely happens in a straight line. Life can be messy, relationships can be complicated, and faith can be tested—but I’ve also seen how God can use those very places to bring healing, maturity, and purpose.
Experience Meets Calling
My professional journey has brought together counseling, ministry, teaching, and a lifelong curiosity about what helps people change. I hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and a Master of Arts in Clinical Christian Counseling, and my training includes temperament therapy, Gottman Method couples work, SYMBIS premarital counseling, and brain health coaching. But credentials are only part of the story. What matters most to me is using what I’ve learned to help real people with real struggles take meaningful steps toward flourishing.
What You’ll Find Here
DaveScott.net is where I share what I’m learning, teaching, and creating. You’ll find practical resources for faith, relationships, and personal growth—along with courses, videos, and personal reflections from my own journey. Some things will teach. Some will encourage. Some may simply make you think. My hope is that everything here helps you take another step toward flourishing.
Let’s Keep Growing
I don’t believe any of us ever really arrive. We keep learning, growing, stumbling, getting back up, and discovering more about God, ourselves, and the people around us. I’m grateful you’re here, and I hope something you find along the way encourages your heart.
