Father, forgive me—
for when I believed it was my strength
that made it all happen.
Forgive me for taking each breath
as though the next one were guaranteed,
forgetting that You are my food,
my sustenance,
my very supply.
Forgive me for believing I had made it
on my own,
for trusting my intellect,
my discipline,
my effort more than Your mercy.
Forgive me for thinking
science and medicine make the world go round,
for falling in love with the glam and glitz of this world
and losing sight of You.
Forgive me for forgetting
that I am alive because of You—
that I deserved death,
punishment,
and shame—
and that You took it all upon Yourself
in my place.
You were stripped naked,
spread wide upon a cross.
Nothing hidden.
Mocked.
Laughed at.
Scorned.
Beaten.
Misrepresented.
And You endured it
so that I would not have to.
Father, forgive me
for treating my brother and sister
as though I were better than them.
Forgive me, too,
for not treating myself
with the dignity You give freely.
Forgive me for my anxiety—
for it lies and tells me
that everything depends on me.
Forgive me for my worry—
for it whispers that there will not be enough.
Forgive me for my sadness—
for it tempts me to believe
hope will not rise again.
Forgive me for my grief—
for at times I forget
we will live forever.
Today, I receive Your forgiveness.
I am made right.
My feet are firmly planted upon the Rock.
My sins are removed.
Access has been granted
to the Divine.
I lack nothing.
I have the resources of Heaven itself.
You supply all my needs
according to Your vast riches and glory.
You feed me.
You give me breath.
You keep my heart beating.
You have given me purpose,
mission,
and calling on this earth.
Every good thing comes from You.
Science comes from You.
Medicine comes from You.
Technology comes from You.
Even AI comes from You.
You are the Source.
The Origin.
The Alpha and the Omega.
The Beginning and the End.
The First and the Last.
You hold all things together—
and with a word, they could fall apart.
So here,
now,
today—
I once again receive You fully.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.
