The Divine Dance
What if we prayed like we talked—
all the time?
What if we became so aware that the invitation to dance with the Divine
is always open—
waiting for us to step onto the floor?
Marriage is a mirror of that sacred dance:
two made one, moving to the flow of the eternal symphony—
if only we will listen.
Oh, how easily we distract ourselves
with the noise of our own chatter,
the endless hum of thoughts
that drown out the divine melody.
How quickly we trade delight for duty,
and wonder for work.
But what if we viewed our marriage
and our relationship with God
through the same lens—
as a dance, not a demand?
No marching orders, no militant obedience.
Just the graceful sway of surrender,
the elegant bravado of two hearts in rhythm—
like a couple lost in the tango or the mambo.
Could our relationship with creation itself
be a dance?
I say yes.
